This dental blog is a little different: My name is Coreena and I am Steven's wife and I am taking over this dental blog.
Most of you know "Steven the dentist" but he is not just a dentist, many of you will not know that he is also a keen cyclist. So lets find out some more about Dr Steven.
Dr Steven the Dentist.
Steven is a great Dentist and has been helping the people of the western suburbs of Brisbane since purchasing Clubb Dental over 13 years ago. He loves what he does and this is made even easier by the awesome people that have become patients over the years. But he cannot practice dentistry 24 hours a day and he has developed another obsession - road cycling.
Steven the Cyclist
It all started very innocently with us purchasing bikes to go on leisurely bike rides on the weekend. But then Steven caught the cycling bug and now he can be regularly found flying along the bike paths in and around Brisbane and challenging himself on Mount Cootha just for fun.
This weekend he has decided that his latest challenge will be a ride in the snowy mountains on NSW. The ride has been designed by the same people who design the Tour de France each year which explains why it is being held in the snowy mountains.
L'ETAPE AUSTRALIA
length of ride: 170km gain of 3,000m in elevation 4-9 hours
The race will go from Jindabyne to Rocky Plains, Berridale, the King of the Mountain secitions at Col de Beloka and Col de Kosciuszko, descending back to Jindabyne. The race takes place under full Tour de France conditions and runs on fully closed roads.
The route is described as difficult as a mountainous stage of the Tour de France and it finishes on Mt Kosciuszko.
Goodluck Steven for this weekend! He will be back at work on Monday so if you see him, he may be looking a little more tired than usual.
