Taking X-rays
The next step is taking x-rays - OPG's and Bitewing x-rays.
Which x-rays we take depends on your age and also on when you last had x-rays taken.
OPG x-rays are the full mouth xray and show all the teeth, jaw bone and the relationship between your teeth.
Bitewing xrays give a closer view of the teeth.

Full Examination
During your dental examination we examine at each tooth, your gums and the rest of your mouth.
We are looking at any problem that needs treatment.

We then do a professional cleaning where we use special tools to remove any plaque and tartar build up since your last dental appointment (or ever).

Dr Steven will then discuss with you what has been found during the full mouth examination and also from the x-rays that have been taken.
From here a plan can be designed that is specific to you and the outcomes you are looking for for your teeth.
Some patients want a Hollywood smile while others want just the minimum amount done to keep them out of pain.
Together we come up with the plan that is right for you and your teeth.
For some people the plan is to continuing doing what they are already doing as their teeth are in great shape.
For others treatment may be suggested to get the best outcomes
