DENTAL VENEERS

Dental Veneers at Clubb Dental
Are you unhappy with the appearance of your smile?

Getting cosmetic dental veneers placed on your teeth could be a good option, especially if tooth whitening or bleaching have not worked.

Dental veneers can help a variety of conditions including:
* Poorly shaped teeth
* Broken teeth
* Permanently stained or discoloured teeth
* Gaps between front teeth

WHAT ARE DENTAL VENEERS?

Dental Veneers are thin shells that fit permanently to the front surface of your tooth.

They are customised to match the colour and general shape of your existing teeth so that they look like a new and improved version of your own teeth.

Some people get a single veneer to fix a broken, chipped or misshapen tooth, but many will get between 6-8 to create an even symmetrical smile.

Dental veneers are made from porcelain or resin materials to look just like your natural teeth.

HOW ARE VENEERS PUT ONTO YOUR TEETH?

Applying traditional porcelain dental veneers to your tooth involves removing some of the tooth structure, this makes room for your veneer to sit properly onto your tooth.

1. Digital scans are taken of your current smile and a plan is made of how each new tooth will look.
2. The front surface of your tooth is prepared by removing up to 1 mm of the tooth
3. Another digital scan is taken of the prepared surface and sent to our local dental lab for them to start working on the permanent veneers
4. Temporary veneers are made to wear the same day
5. Permanent dental veneers are cemented into place for your new (even more beautiful) smile

Porcelain veneers are an irreversible procedure.

LOOKING AFTER DENTAL VEENERS

Caring for your dental veneers is relatively simple and similar to taking care of your own teeth
* Brushing
* Flossing
* Regular professional teeth cleaning

Be careful eating hard, tough or chewy foods when you have dental veneers especially at first.

ALTERNATIVES TO DENTAL VENEERS

If you do not think that dental veneers are for you then there are some other options that may provide a similar result.

BONDING is a way to close the gaps between 2 or more teeth

CROWNS can be used to fix broken or chipped teeth to make the tooth appear whole and will give you a stronger result.

CLEAR ALIGNERS can fix crooked teeth or gaps between your teeth.

WHITENING can help with discoloured teeth in some conditions.
